Wife allegedly helped her husband to rape three teenage girls

Avril Griffiths, 61, allegedly helped her husband, Peter Griffiths, 65 to rape three teenage girls after befriending them with alcohol and cigarettes, a jury has heard.

Cardiff Crown Court heard the wife told one girl: “Don’t worry, it’s not going to hurt” as Peter Griffiths began to rape her.

the pair allegedly “repeatedly sexually abused three young girls” between the 1970s and 1990s.

The court heard the couple gave one girl vodka before forcing her to pose for indecent photos with them while they were naked.

The girl was around 13-years-old at the time.

Both defendants pleaded not guilty to five counts of rape, three counts of taking indecent photographs of a child, and two counts of indecent assault.
