Mother of James Bulger thanks the public for their support in BOYCOTTING a film for ‘trying to get sympathy’ for the murderers of her son

Denise Fergus expressed her gratitude to the public on twitter saying: “Wanna thank everyone who has once again supported me today, I have received so many lovely messages, I know I keep saying it but I mean it from the bottom of my heart I couldn’t do it without you THANKYOU xxx”

This comes after Mrs Fergus made an appearance on ITVs ‘Loose Women’ where she heartbreakingly said:

“The first I heard about the film was just before Christmas. They should have got in contact and let us know.

“I’m asking people to boycott it, I don’t think it should have been made in the first place, especially without James’s family knowing.

The film is a reconstruction of police interviews with Jon Venables and Robert Thompson and has been shortlisted for an Oscar.
