A dangerous deviant who kidnapped, imprisoned and assaulted a six-year-old girl has been jailed.

Joseph Davies, 23, abducted the girl and took her to an empty house where he molested her and locked her in a back garden.

Davies pounced on the youngster when she was alone, grabbing her from behind by her hips and taking her away.

He led her to a home in Teesside he knew was unoccupied for the attack.

Davies will be on the sex offenders’ register indefinitely.

He handed an extended prison sentence, which will be six years’ imprisonment, of which he will serve two-thirds before the Parole Board decide whether it is safe to release him, plus four years’ extra licence.
