Paedophile rugby coach made up fake fitness test to molest and film youngsters in showers

Sicko David Simmons, 26, molested his youngsters claiming to be carrying out “body fat percentage tests.”

A paedophile rugby coach who sexually assaulted young men and boys and secretly filmed them showering has been jailed.

He also used RC spy cameras hidden inside fake clocks to spy on boys when they were naked, Scotland Yard has said.

He was only caught and brought to justice when a brave employee of his business in West London discovered the devices, figured out what they were and contacted the authorities.

Mr Simmons, from Sheffield, was sentenced to a measly three years and eight months in prison at Southwark Crown Court.

Met Police Detective Chief Inspector Zena Marshall said:

“Simmons abused the trust that was placed in him by both the victims and their parents; this was a terrible betrayal.

We have been working closely with NSPCC, the Rugby Football Union, Kingston local authority and the clubs concerned to ensure that support is available to those who have been affected by this case.

“I hope the families can have some satisfaction that Simmons has been brought to account and is now facing the serious consequences of his actions.”

Mr Simmons pleaded guilty in May to SEVENTEEN charges, seven of voyeurism, one of causing a child to engage in sexual activity, four of sexual activity with a child aged under 13, two of sexual assault and three of making indecent images of children.

The former employee and her confronted Simmons and after quitting the rugby training firm, called the police, who raided the coach’s home and offices in Teddington, west London.

Police found well over 40,0000 indecent images of children, including more than 3,000 in the highest category A, described as “Possession of images involving penetrative sexual activity” or  “Possession of images involving sexual activity with an animal or sadism.”
